Amy Mattias, food system strategist and food program co-director joined the team in fall of 2017. Amy is passionate about cooking from scratch, growing her own food & medicine, and supporting our local food economy. Amy serves on the Blaine County Food Council and volunteers for the Weston A. Price Foundation. She graduated magna cum laude from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Organization Communication in 2013. Since graduating, Amy continues her education through conferences, workshops, books, and hands-on experience in the food, farming, and wellness world. She has worked with numerous local organizations committed to the local food movement, including Kraay’s Market & Garden, Wood River Valley HarvestFest, Lava Lake Lamb, Idaho’s Bounty, and NourishMe.
