Setting the stage for change by educating around resilience. We raise the community consciousness around the needs, challenges and solutions to inspire participation and action. To catalyze change we are raising awareness and mobilizing our neighbors for resilience. From the $5 for Farmers pledge to our annual Locally Grown Guide, we are bringing attention to local food and demonstrating how a vibrant and nourishing food system positively impacts our resilience as a community!

Highlighting Raising Awareness
Local food is a big part of our community. For locals and visitors alike, there’s always a question of food. Where should we eat? Where can I get local produce? What interesting businesses are supporting the local economy?
In 2020 we launched the Locally Grown Guide as the comprehensive resource for eating local. The 45-page guide featured over 70 farm and food producer listings, local food content and messages from our sponsors. In just its first year, our guide:
- Was distributed to 1,700 residents and visitors
- Engaged residents and visitors with over 2,500 targeted mentions in our newsletters and on our social media channels
- Received fantastic feedback from farmers, chefs and restaurants, consumers and sponsors
The 2021 Locally Grown Guide will include dozens of new listings, a new local beverage section, new feature stories that highlight our local flavors and resources on food literacy and more. We also are more than doubling the number of printed copies.
